MIB Design Academy   ·   India's First Real-World Design Programme

Design is not
taught in classrooms.
It is lived.

A one-year immersive programme where you learn design by transforming real homes, shops, streets, schools and public spaces — side by side with master designers and municipal authorities. No theory. Only transformation.

Our Philosophy

Not a school.
A movement.

At MIB Design Academy, your classroom is a construction site. Your teachers are working designers. Your results are visible on streets, in homes, in the communities you touch. You are not just learning a profession — you are becoming part of India's largest design movement.

Mission India Beautification was founded on a singular belief: that thoughtful design can change the way people live, think and feel. The Academy was created to put that belief in the hands of the next generation — passionate, courageous designers who want to build something real.

01

Real Project Training

Every lesson happens on an active transformation site. You measure, plan, execute and witness change with your own hands.

02

Tools & Technology First

You work with industry-grade equipment, digital design tools and emerging technologies from Day 1 — not the last week of a course.

03

National Impact

Your projects contribute to Mission India Beautification's national mission. Your work appears in real cities, real neighbourhoods.

04

Access to Authority

Interact directly with great designers, architects, urban planners and municipal planning authorities. Network that matters.

Every space
is your canvas.

MIB Academy students work across 8 distinct space typologies over the course of one year. This breadth makes you a complete designer — capable of transforming any environment, not just a single niche.

Who Should Apply

We don't select
students. We select
future designers.

MIB Academy does not shortlist based on marks or prior design education. We select based on passion, curiosity, courage and a genuine desire to change how India looks and feels. Here is what we look for.

Selection Criteria

🎯

Genuine Passion for Spaces

You must demonstrate a real, felt love for how spaces look, feel and function. This could be through personal projects, photos you've taken, homes you've noticed, or a lifestyle that shows design sensitivity.

✏️

Creative Evidence Portfolio

Submit any evidence of creative thinking — hand sketches, room rearrangements, DIY projects, Pinterest/mood boards, before-after photos of a space you improved. No prior training needed.

📝

Personal Statement of Intent

Write 300–500 words on: Which space in India would you most like to transform, and why? How would you do it? This tells us about your vision and your voice.

💪

Physical & Practical Willingness

Site work is physical. You must be willing and able to work on active construction and renovation sites, handle tools and equipment, and work in variable site conditions.

🤝

Collaborative Mindset

We work in teams with clients, communities and authorities. You must show an ability to listen, communicate and collaborate — even with people very different from yourself.

🎂

Minimum Age: 18 Years

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of programme commencement. No prior design degree or qualification is required.
