Care Guides
Street Care Guides: cleaner, prouder neighbourhoods
Street care begins with one lane and a few committed neighbours. Mission India Beautification started on 9 June 2013 by cleaning and beautifying a street in Punaichuk, Patna. These guides show you how to plan a safe clean-up drive, segregate waste and adopt a public space with your society or company.

Quick care checklist
Save this list or print it for your staff.
- Choose a small stretch you can finish in 2 to 3 hours
- Inform the local ward office and your society in advance
- Arrange gloves, masks, brooms, sacks and a first-aid kit
- Brief volunteers on sharp objects and traffic safety
- Segregate waste on the spot: wet, dry, hazardous
- Arrange pickup with the municipal vehicle before you start
- Take before and after photos to show the change
- Plan a follow-up date so the street stays cared for
When to call a professional
If a job needs ladders, machines, chemicals you do not use every day, or more than a weekend, it is time to hand it over.

Questions we hear often
Can I join a Mission India Beautification drive?
Yes. Volunteering is free. Register on our Community page and we will share upcoming drives near you.
Can my company run a CSR clean-up with MIB?
Yes. We plan the site, permissions, tools, safety briefing and the before and after story. Write to us through Contact / Collaborate.
Do I need permission to clean a public street?
For small drives on your own street, informing your ward office and society is usually enough. Larger events may need written permission.
